5 Ways to Deal with Trolls While Live Streaming

While on ePlay, we want to make sure all creators have the tools to handle all types of viewers and fans that come into their chats. Our number one goal is to empower you each and every day to moderate your chat as you see fit.

Here are 5 quick tips and tools you have at your disposal to help you while streaming on ePlay.

1- Don't Engage

If a viewer or fan isn't getting the attention they're seeking when they're in your chat, they'll eventually realize that your stream is a dead end and go away. Keep in mind that by ignoring them, you'll be stopping them from getting the attention they are seeking.

2- Block, report, and move on.

If ignoring them isn't doing the trick, ePlay provides you with a tool to help manage your chat; you can easily mute, ban, or block users from your stream/channel.

You don't have to explain to anyone why you've decided to mute, ban, or block the user, even if they've spent a lot of tokens on your chat! This is your channel, your chat, and your stream.

In the event that you have a user that you feel is disruptive to the site as a whole, please reach out to ePlay's streamer support so that we can review the user in question.

3- Assign a moderator to your chat.

With the flow of chat, sometimes it's hard to manage your chat yourself. We recommend picking up a trusted moderator to help with troublesome users.

4- Seek out support!

While streaming can offer a lot of freedom with your work schedule, it can be a hard job from day to day. Here at ePlay, we want you to feel supported and encourage you to find the support you personally connect with. You can always reach out to streamer support when ever you need us, but we also recommend making sure you have the support system you need.

Your mental health is important to us. That's why we've partnered with Pineapple Support, a nonprofit organization that provides free and low-cost mental health therapy to all individuals in the adult film industry.

5- Focus on your community and your content

As we said above, streaming is about having the freedom to set the guidelines for the content you're putting out.

If you want to play a video game and not appear on camera for the day, that's up to you. If you want to exercise, paint, or tell jokes; go for it! The content you share on your live streams and within your ePlay Channel are 100% up to you.

ePlay has no rigid guidelines for our performers. Not into gaming, but want to just chat with your users without having to work off a tip menu? We want your experience on ePlay to be as flexible and fun as possible.

After all, ePlay is meant to be easy, exciting, and empowering. We want you to be ecstatic about showing up to stream and creating content! We're here to ensure that you can do what you want to do.
