Does Informed Energy Use Mean Less Energy Use?
Energy is spread even thinner and prices continue to rise. Utility companies have been experimenting with higher rates and rebates during peak hours to encourage reduced electricity usage. Such incentives aside, companies are now toying with the idea of installing more accurate, detailed meters, in the hope that consumers will use less energy if they are more aware of how much they are using.
