Are Green Buildings Worth the Green?
For a building to be dubbed "green" it must receive a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. Few have been awarded because few attempts have been made. Green structures, however, seem to be on the rise as companies realize the benefits of reduced utilities costs, improved PR and greater worker productivity. Are the benefits worth the great cost?
