Dead Doctors Bill The Government?
A Congressional investigation has reported that Medicare has paid approximately $92 million to medical suppliers who charged the government for equipment, allegedly prescribed by doctors, who happened to be dead at the time the prescriptions were filled out. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) promised to put a stop to the practice six years ago, but it has yet to do anything.
