The collapse of risky mortgages led California to a 1st quarter record number of foreclosures for 2008, as the number of homes hit 47, 171 (up 4x vs. previous year). Default notices were sent out to 110,000 homeowners. Should these homeowners receive government aid to help keep their homes?
